Isaiah 4

Isaiah 4, verse 1. ¹Seven women shall take hold of one man, saying, “We will eat our own food and wear our own apparel, only let us be called by your name, to take away our disgrace.” Isaiah 4, verse 2. ²In that day, the Lord will shine in counsel and glory on the earth, to exalt and glorify those of Israel who remain. Isaiah 4, verse 3. ³And it shall come to pass that those who remain in Zion and in Jerusalem will be called holy—everyone who is recorded among the living in Jerusalem, Isaiah 4, verse 4. ⁴because the Lord shall wash away the filth of the sons and the daughters of Zion, and shall purge the blood of Jerusalem from their midst by the Spirit of judgment and the Spirit of burning. Isaiah 4, verse 5. ⁵He shall come and there shall be with regard to Mt. Zion and everything round about, a cloud to overshadow it by day, and as it were smoke and light of fire burning at night, and it shall be covered altogether with glory. Isaiah 4, verse 6. ⁶It shall be for shade from the heat, for a place of shelter, and for a hiding-place from inclement weather and rain.
