Psalm 118, verse 1. 1Alleluia.
Blessed are the blameless in the way
Who walk in the law of the Lord.
Psalm 118, verse 2. 2Blessed are those who search out His testimonies;
They shall search for Him with their whole heart.
Psalm 118, verse 3. 3For those who work lawlessness
Do not walk in His ways.
Psalm 118, verse 4. 4You commanded us regarding Your commandments,
That we should be very diligent to keep them.
Psalm 118, verse 5. 5Would that my ways were led,
That I might keep Your ordinances.
Psalm 118, verse 6. 6Then I would not be ashamed
When I regard all Your commandments.
Psalm 118, verse 7. 7I will give thanks to You, O Lord, with an upright heart,
When I learn the judgments of Your righteousness.
Psalm 118, verse 8. 8I shall keep Your ordinances;
Do not utterly forsake me.
Psalm 118, verse 9. 9How shall a young man keep his way straight?
When he keeps Your words.
Psalm 118, verse 10. 10I searched for You with my whole heart;
Do not drive me away from Your commandments.
Psalm 118, verse 11. 11I hid Your teachings in my heart
So as not to sin against You.
Psalm 118, verse 12. 12Blessed are You, O Lord;
Teach me Your ordinances.
Psalm 118, verse 13. 13With my lips I declared
All the judgments of Your mouth.
Psalm 118, verse 14. 14I delight in the way of Your testimonies
As much as in all riches.
Psalm 118, verse 15. 15I shall meditate on Your commandments,
And I shall understand Your ways.
Psalm 118, verse 16. 16I shall meditate on Your ordinances;
I shall not forget Your words.
Psalm 118, verse 17. 17Reward Your servant;
I shall live, and keep Your words.
Psalm 118, verse 18. 18Unveil my eyes,
And I shall understand the wonders in Your law.
Psalm 118, verse 19. 19I am a sojourner on the earth;
Do not hide Your commandments from me.
Psalm 118, verse 20. 20My soul longed to desire
Your judgments in every season.
Psalm 118, verse 21. 21You rebuke the arrogant;
Those who turn aside from Your commandments are accursed.
Psalm 118, verse 22. 22Take away reproach and contempt from me,
For I searched Your testimonies.
Psalm 118, verse 23. 23For rulers sat and spoke against me,
But Your servant meditated on Your ordinances.
Psalm 118, verse 24. 24For Your testimonies are my meditation,
And Your ordinances are my counsels.
Psalm 118, verse 25. 25My soul cleaves to the earth;
Give me life according to Your word.
Psalm 118, verse 26. 26I made known my ways and You heard me;
Teach me Your ordinances.
Psalm 118, verse 27. 27Cause me to understand the way of Your ordinances,
And I shall meditate on Your wonders.
Psalm 118, verse 28. 28My soul fainted because of its listlessness;
Establish me in Your words.
Psalm 118, verse 29. 29Remove the way of unrighteousness from me,
And with Your law have mercy on me.
Psalm 118, verse 30. 30I chose the way of truth;
I have not forgotten Your judgments.
Psalm 118, verse 31. 31I cleave to Your testimonies;
O Lord, do not disappoint me.
Psalm 118, verse 32. 32I ran on the path of Your commandments,
When You enlarged my heart.
Psalm 118, verse 33. 33Give me as law, O Lord, the way of Your ordinances,
And I shall always search them.
Psalm 118, verse 34. 34Cause me to understand, and I shall search out Your law;
And I shall keep it with my whole heart.
Psalm 118, verse 35. 35Guide me in the path of Your commandments,
For I desire it.
Psalm 118, verse 36. 36Incline my heart to Your testimonies
And not to greediness.
Psalm 118, verse 37. 37Turn away my eyes that I may not see vanity;
Give me life in Your way.
Psalm 118, verse 38. 38Establish Your teaching in Your servant
In regard to Your fear.
Psalm 118, verse 39. 39Take away my blame, which I have suspected,
For Your judgments are good.
Psalm 118, verse 40. 40Behold, I long for Your commandments;
Give me life in Your righteousness.
Psalm 118, verse 41. 41And may Your mercy come upon me, O Lord,
Your salvation according to Your teaching.
Psalm 118, verse 42. 42And I shall answer those who insult me with a word,
For I hope in Your words.
Psalm 118, verse 43. 43Do not take away the word of truth completely from my mouth,
For I hope in Your judgments.
Psalm 118, verse 44. 44So I shall keep Your law always,
Forever and unto ages of ages.
Psalm 118, verse 45. 45And I walk in a broad space,
For I searched Your commandments.
Psalm 118, verse 46. 46I spoke of Your testimonies
Before kings, and I was not ashamed.
Psalm 118, verse 47. 47And I meditate on Your commandments,
Which I love exceedingly.
Psalm 118, verse 48. 48And I raise my hands to Your commandments, which I love,
And I meditate on Your ordinances.
Psalm 118, verse 49. 49Remember Your word to Your servant,
In which You give me hope.
Psalm 118, verse 50. 50This comforted me in my humiliation,
For Your teaching gives me life.
Psalm 118, verse 51. 51The arrogant transgressed exceedingly,
But I did not turn away from Your law.
Psalm 118, verse 52. 52I remembered Your judgments of old, O Lord,
And I was comforted.
Psalm 118, verse 53. 53Despondency held me because of sinners
Who abandon Your law.
Psalm 118, verse 54. 54Your ordinances were sung to me
In the place of my sojourning.
Psalm 118, verse 55. 55I remembered Your name in the night, O Lord,
And I kept Your law.
Psalm 118, verse 56. 56This happened to me in the night,
Because I searched Your ordinances.
Psalm 118, verse 57. 57You are my portion, O Lord;
I said I will keep Your law.
Psalm 118, verse 58. 58I sought Your presence with my whole heart;
Have mercy on me according to Your teaching.
Psalm 118, verse 59. 59I considered Your ways,
And I turned my feet toward Your testimonies.
Psalm 118, verse 60. 60I prepared myself, and I was not troubled,
That I might keep Your commandments.
Psalm 118, verse 61. 61The ropes of sinners ensnared me,
But I did not forget Your law.
Psalm 118, verse 62. 62At midnight I arose to give thanks to You
Because of the judgments of Your righteousness.
Psalm 118, verse 63. 63I am a companion of all who fear You
And keep Your commandments.
Psalm 118, verse 64. 64O Lord, the earth is full of Your mercy;
Teach me Your ordinances.
Psalm 118, verse 65. 65O Lord, You dealt with Your servant in goodness,
According to Your word.
Psalm 118, verse 66. 66Teach me goodness, instruction, and knowledge,
For I believe Your commandments.
Psalm 118, verse 67. 67Before I was humbled, I transgressed;
Therefore, I kept Your teaching.
Psalm 118, verse 68. 68You are good, O Lord, and in Your goodness
Teach me Your ordinances.
Psalm 118, verse 69. 69The unrighteousness of the arrogant multiplied against me,
But I will search out Your commandments with my whole heart.
Psalm 118, verse 70. 70Their heart was curdled like milk,
But I meditated on Your law.
Psalm 118, verse 71. 71It is good for me that You humbled me,
That I might learn Your ordinances.
Psalm 118, verse 72. 72The law of Your mouth is good for me,
Rather than thousands of pieces of gold and silver.
Psalm 118, verse 73. 73Your hands made and fashioned me;
Instruct me, and I will learn Your commandments.
Psalm 118, verse 74. 74Those who fear You will see me and be glad,
Because I hope in Your words.
Psalm 118, verse 75. 75I know, O Lord, Your judgments are righteousness,
And You humbled me with truth.
Psalm 118, verse 76. 76Let Your mercy be for my comfort,
According to Your teaching to Your servant.
Psalm 118, verse 77. 77Let Your compassions come to me, and I shall live;
For Your law is my meditation.
Psalm 118, verse 78. 78Let the arrogant be shamed, for they transgressed unjustly against me;
But I shall meditate on Your commandments.
Psalm 118, verse 79. 79Let those who fear You turn to me,
And those who know Your testimonies.
Psalm 118, verse 80. 80Let my heart be blameless in Your ordinances,
That I may not be disappointed.
Psalm 118, verse 81. 81My soul earnestly longs for Your salvation,
And I hope in Your word.
Psalm 118, verse 82. 82My eyes strained to look at Your teaching,
Saying, “When will You comfort me?”
Psalm 118, verse 83. 83I am like a leather bag in a frost;
I did not forget Your ordinances.
Psalm 118, verse 84. 84How many are the days of Your servant?
When will You execute judgment for me upon those who persecute me?
Psalm 118, verse 85. 85Transgressors described their meditations to me,
But these are not like Your law, O Lord.
Psalm 118, verse 86. 86All Your commandments are truth;
They persecuted me unjustly; help me.
Psalm 118, verse 87. 87They almost ended my life on earth,
But I did not forsake Your commandments.
Psalm 118, verse 88. 88Give me life according to Your mercy,
And I shall keep the testimonies of Your mouth.
Psalm 118, verse 89. 89Forever, O Lord,
Your word continues in heaven.
Psalm 118, verse 90. 90Your truth continues from generation to generation;
You laid the foundation of the earth, and it continues.
Psalm 118, verse 91. 91By Your arrangement each day continues,
For all things are Your servants.
Psalm 118, verse 92. 92If Your law were not my meditation,
I would have perished in my humiliation.
Psalm 118, verse 93. 93I will never forget Your ordinances,
For in them You give me life, O Lord.
Psalm 118, verse 94. 94I am Yours; save me,
For I search Your ordinances.
Psalm 118, verse 95. 95Sinners waited for me to kill me;
I understood Your testimonies.
Psalm 118, verse 96. 96I saw the limit of every accomplishment;
Your commandment is exceedingly broad.
Psalm 118, verse 97. 97How I love Your law, O Lord;
It is my meditation the whole day long.
Psalm 118, verse 98. 98You make me wiser than my enemies with Your commandment,
For it is mine forever.
Psalm 118, verse 99. 99I understand more than all my teachers,
For Your testimonies are my meditation.
Psalm 118, verse 100. 100I understand more than the elders,
For I search Your commandments.
Psalm 118, verse 101. 101I withheld my feet from every evil way,
That I might keep Your words.
Psalm 118, verse 102. 102I did not turn away from Your judgments,
For You taught me Your law.
Psalm 118, verse 103. 103How sweet to my taste are Your teachings,
More than honey and the honeycomb in my mouth.
Psalm 118, verse 104. 104I gained understanding because of Your commandments;
Therefore, I hate every unrighteous way.
Psalm 118, verse 105. 105Your word is a lamp to my feet
And a light to my paths.
Psalm 118, verse 106. 106I swore and confirmed
That I would keep the judgments of Your righteousness.
Psalm 118, verse 107. 107I was humbled exceedingly;
O Lord, give me life according to Your word.
Psalm 118, verse 108. 108Be well-pleased with the freewill offerings of my mouth, O Lord,
And teach me Your judgments.
Psalm 118, verse 109. 109My soul is always in Your hands,
And I have not forgotten Your law.
Psalm 118, verse 110. 110Sinners set snares for me,
But I did not wander from Your commandments.
Psalm 118, verse 111. 111I inherited Your testimonies forever,
For these are the exceeding joy of my heart.
Psalm 118, verse 112. 112I inclined my heart to do Your ordinances
Forever for a reward.
Psalm 118, verse 113. 113Transgressors I hate,
But I love Your law.
Psalm 118, verse 114. 114You are my helper and my protector;
I hope in Your word.
Psalm 118, verse 115. 115Turn away from me, you evildoers,
And I shall search out the commandments of my God.
Psalm 118, verse 116. 116Uphold me according to Your teaching, and give me life;
And may You not disappoint my expectation.
Psalm 118, verse 117. 117Help me, and I shall be saved;
And I shall meditate always in Your ordinances.
Psalm 118, verse 118. 118You set at naught all who departed from Your ordinances,
For their thought is unrighteous.
Psalm 118, verse 119. 119I counted as transgressors all the sinners of the earth;
For this reason I always love Your testimonies.
Psalm 118, verse 120. 120Nail my flesh with the fear of You,
For I fear You because of Your judgments.
Psalm 118, verse 121. 121I work judgment and righteousness;
Do not deliver me to those who wrong me.
Psalm 118, verse 122. 122Take Your servant to that which is good;
Do not let the arrogant falsely accuse me.
Psalm 118, verse 123. 123My eyes strained to look at Your salvation
And at the teaching of Your righteousness.
Psalm 118, verse 124. 124Deal with Your servant according to Your mercy
And teach me Your ordinances.
Psalm 118, verse 125. 125I am Your servant; cause me to understand,
And I shall know Your testimonies.
Psalm 118, verse 126. 126It is time for the Lord to act;
They broke Your law.
Psalm 118, verse 127. 127For this reason I love Your commandments
More than gold and topaz.
Psalm 118, verse 128. 128Therefore I directed myself to all Your commandments;
I hated every unrighteous way.
Psalm 118, verse 129. 129Wondrous are Your testimonies;
For this reason my soul searches them out.
Psalm 118, verse 130. 130The revelation of Your words gives light,
And it causes children to understand.
Psalm 118, verse 131. 131I opened my mouth and drew in my breath,
For I longed for Your commandments.
Psalm 118, verse 132. 132Look upon me and have mercy on me,
According to the judgment of those who love Your name.
Psalm 118, verse 133. 133Direct my steps according to Your teaching
And let no lawlessness rule over me.
Psalm 118, verse 134. 134Ransom me from the slander of men,
And I will keep Your commandments.
Psalm 118, verse 135. 135Make Your face shine upon Your servant
And teach me Your ordinances.
Psalm 118, verse 136. 136My eyes poured down streams of tears
Because they did not keep Your law.
Psalm 118, verse 137. 137Righteous are You, O Lord,
And upright is Your judgment.
Psalm 118, verse 138. 138You commanded Your testimonies exceedingly
In righteousness and truth.
Psalm 118, verse 139. 139The zeal of Your house caused me to yearn for home,
For my enemies forgot Your words.

And Your servant loves it.
Psalm 118, verse 141. 141I am young, and beheld as nothing,
But I have not forgotten Your ordinances.

And Your law is truth.
Psalm 118, verse 143. 143Affliction and trouble found me,
But Your commandments are my meditation.

Give me understanding, and I shall live.

I shall search Your ordinances.

That You established them forever.

For I have not forgotten Your law.

Give me life because of Your word.

For they have not searched Your ordinances.

For they did not keep Your teachings.

O Lord, in Your mercy, give me life.
Psalm 118, verse 160. 160The beginning of Your words is truth,
And all the judgments of Your righteousness are forever.
Psalm 118, verse 161. 161Rulers persecuted me without cause,
But my heart feared because of Your words.
Psalm 118, verse 162. 162I shall greatly rejoice in Your teachings,
Like one finding great spoil.
Psalm 118, verse 163. 163I hate and abhor unrighteousness,
But I love Your law.

For the judgments of Your righteousness.
