Psalm 32, verse 1. 1By David.
Rejoice greatly in the Lord, O righteous ones;
Praise is fitting for the upright.
Psalm 32, verse 2. 2Give thanks to the Lord on the lyre;
Sing praises to Him on a ten-stringed instrument.
Psalm 32, verse 3. 3Sing to Him a new song;
Sing praises beautifully with a shout.
Psalm 32, verse 4. 4For the word of the Lord is right,
And all His works are done in faithfulness.
Psalm 32, verse 5. 5He loves mercy and judgment;
The earth is full of the Lord's mercy.
Psalm 32, verse 6. 6By the word of the Lord the heavens were established,
And all the host of them by the breath of His mouth,
Psalm 32, verse 7. 7Who gathers the waters of the sea together as in a wineskin,
Who put the abysses in storehouses.
Psalm 32, verse 8. 8Let all the earth fear the Lord,
And let all the world's inhabitants be shaken by Him;
Psalm 32, verse 9. 9For He spoke, and they were made;
He commanded, and they were created.
Psalm 32, verse 10. 10The Lord scatters abroad the counsels of the nations,
And He sets aside the reasoning of peoples;
And He rejects the counsels of rulers.
Psalm 32, verse 11. 11The counsel of the Lord abides forever,
The thoughts of His heart from generation to generation.
Psalm 32, verse 12. 12Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord,
The people He chose as an inheritance for Himself.
Psalm 32, verse 13. 13The Lord looked attentively from heaven;
He saw all the sons of men.
Psalm 32, verse 14. 14From His prepared dwelling-place,
He looked upon all who dwell on the earth,
Psalm 32, verse 15. 15He who alone fashioned their hearts,
He who understands all their works.
Psalm 32, verse 16. 16A king is not saved by his large army,
And a giant shall not be saved by his immense strength;
Psalm 32, verse 17. 17A horse is a false hope for salvation,
And it shall not be saved by its enormous power.
Psalm 32, verse 18. 18Behold, the eyes of the Lord are on those who fear Him,
On those who hope in His mercy,
Psalm 32, verse 19. 19To deliver their souls from death
And to keep them alive in famine.
Psalm 32, verse 20. 20Our soul shall wait for the Lord;
He is our helper and protector;
Psalm 32, verse 21. 21For our heart shall be glad in Him,
And we hope in His holy name.
Psalm 32, verse 22. 22Let Your mercy, O Lord, be upon us,
As we hope in You.
