Psalm 86, verse 1. A psalm of an ode for the sons of Korah.
His foundations are in the holy mountains;
Psalm 86, verse 2. The Lord loves the gates of Zion
More than all the dwellings of Jacob.
Psalm 86, verse 3. Glorious things were said concerning you, O city of God.
(Pause)
Psalm 86, verse 4. I will make mention of Rahab and Babylon to those who know Me;
And behold, foreigners, and the people of Tyre and Ethiopia,
These were born there.
Psalm 86, verse 5. A man will say, “Mother Zion,”
And a man was born in her;
For the Most High Himself founded it.
Psalm 86, verse 6. The Lord shall describe it in a written account of the peoples
And of the rulers, of those who were born in her.
(Pause)
Psalm 86, verse 7. How glad are all who have their dwelling in you.
